Pastor Mike Fabarez is a seasoned pastor, Bible teacher, and author with more than three decades of ministry experience. He is the founding pastor of Compass Bible Church in Southern California, where he has faithfully led and taught since its beginning, with a clear focus on helping people understand and apply God’s Word to everyday life.
Known for his straightforward, verse-by-verse teaching, Pastor Mike is committed to making the Bible clear, practical, and deeply relevant. His passion is not just to explain Scripture, but to help people live it—equipping believers to think biblically and follow Christ with conviction in a complicated world.
In addition to his pastoral role, Pastor Mike is the voice behind Focal Point, a nationally syndicated radio program that began in 1998 and now reaches listeners across hundreds of stations throughout the United States. Through daily broadcasts, digital platforms, and live call-in programs like Ask Pastor Mike, he answers real questions with biblical clarity and pastoral wisdom.
Pastor Mike has also authored numerous books, including 10 Mistakes People Make About Heaven, Hell, and the Afterlife, Raising Men Not Boys, Lifelines for Tough Times, and Why the Bible?—all designed to help readers grow in their understanding of Scripture and their confidence in God’s truth.
He holds degrees from Moody Bible Institute, Talbot School of Theology (M.A.), and Westminster Theological Seminary in California (D.Min.), equipping him with both theological depth and practical insight for ministry.
